My vacation in Niagara Falls

I visited this place so many times since 2008 and I have seen so many wonderful falls in different places but there is no comparison with Niagara Falls. Especially the view from the Canadian side is amazing and beautiful more than the American side. During the day time the sunshine on the falls looks so beautiful. We spent two days there and stayed at the Hilton, the room at an amazing view of the falls. There is a huge casino there as well, I had lots of fun there with my family. Niagara Falls at night time is really beautiful with the different color lights reflecting on the falls. It is quite a busy place as it is considered one of the wonders of the world with people coming from all parts of the world. I would like to go there again whenever possible to discover more and see other parts of Niagara Falls.

Visit to Ottawa

Last November I visited Ottawa, the capital city of Canada. I went sight seeing around the capital, which is home to many of the government departments. I had the opportunity to visit the Parliament Hill building as well as go inside it. I saw the House of Commons, Chamber of parliament, the Peace Tower and the Library of Parliament. I also walked along the Rideau Canal, which is usually frozen in the winter and people skate on it. This is during the Winterlude festival in Ottawa. I also went to the Hull casino, and had fun gambling and also enjoyed the entertainment. I saw the Prime Minister's house which is located on Sussex Drive.

My vacation/Honeymoon in Jamaica

Hi Everyone, I am going to talk about my vacation/honeymoon to Jamaica. Jamaica is a country in the Caribbean. It is a beautiful country with white sandy beaches and great scenic views. I stayed at the Gran Bahia Principe a five star resort in a place called Runaway Bay. This is close to the main town of Ocho Rios. This resort was an all inclusive resort with many amenities and great service. Jamaica has different foods, which I got to try and really liked. These dishes included curry goat, fried plantain, rice and peas, and of course jerk chicken. I had a great time relaxing on the beach and enjoyed swimming in the ocean. I also had an opportunity to see the Dunn River Falls a landmark in Jamaica. I also climbed the falls which was quite an amazing experience.

Before getting into the airport i visted the Golden Temple in Amritsar. After taking God's blessing me and mine family went to airport ,it was mine first time to vist any airport .I think it wasd mine best time of life as i was going to make mine dreams true . It was having very tight security there so that no mishappening could take place . The place from inside was very neat and clean. Each and very section was clearly marked so that the person going for flight could easily complete the steps inorder to take flight. There was one counter which sends along with u one of there person to help u to go through all the basic requirements of the airport .I think this was the best option provided by them. Well this was mine own experinence with amritsar airport and it was really very good if u want to have flight u can use the amritsar airport now .

Jallianwala Bagh massacre is alternatively known as Amritsar Massacre. It was named by the name of an garden in th northern city of Amritsar called Jallianwala bagh. On 13 th April 1919 puinjabi gathered for sikh festival called Baisakhi fair and to protest against the unfair measures of British when there the British General Dyer ordered to open fire on the innocent people . Jaipur

Hi i'm Sandeep and i'm going to share my vacation in Jaipur. Jaipur also popularly known as the Pink City, is the capital and largest city of the Indian state of Rajasthan and also is the first planned city of India. Jaipur has some unbelievable sites to see like the Jal Mahal which is a must see if you plan to visit.

Jal Mahal

Jal Mahal (or the Water Palace) is on the way to Sisodia Rani Garden. A Rajput style architectured palace sits in the center of the Maan-sarovar lake. The lake is often dry in the winter, but summer monsoons frequently turn it into a beautiful lake filled with water hyacinths.

Jantar Mantar

Jantar Mantar

Jantar Mantar is the largest of five astronomical observatory build by Maharaja Jai Singh during the period 1727-1734 in north India. It is located very close to the City Palace. The observatory consists of fourteen major geometric devices for measuring time, predicting eclipses, tracking stars in their orbits, ascertaining the declinations of planets, and determining the celestial altitudes etc.

Jaigarh Fort

Jaigarh Fort never conquered in battle, this was considered the strongest of the three forts in the area. It is best known as the site of the world's largest cannon, the Jaivana, which was test-fired only once — according to legend, despite using only the half the design amount of gunpowder, the cannonball flew 35 km! A better reason to visit the fort, though, are the scenic gardens at the other end and the spectacular views over the Amber Fort and the hills around. The remains of the foundry where the Jaivana were cast are also in the fort grounds.

Hawa Mahal

Hawa Mahal (or Palace of breeze) was built in 1799 by Maharaja Sawai Singh as part of City Palace. It was an extension of the Zenana (women) chamber. It's purpose was to allow royal ladies to observe everyday life in the street below without being seen. It is a five storey high red sandstone structure complete with over 950 windows. The breeze circulates through these windows giving the palace its name.

Amritsar

Introduction about city name:
The name of the city derives from the name of the pool around the Golden Temple. The name of the city derives from the name of the pool around the Golden Temple (aka Harmandir Sahib) and means "holy pool of nectar" (Amrit: elixir; Sar: (short for sarovar) lake). It is the spiritual and cultural center of the Sikh religion, and they are rightfully very proud of the city and their very beautiful and unique Gurdwara (place of worship). The Golden Temple was initiated by Guru Ramdaas Ji, the fourth Sikh Guru, and completed in 1601 by his successor Guru Arjan Dev Ji. It is now a major pilgrimage and tourism center.
Golden Temple
Golden temple is the main attraction in the city, and the most important religious place to the Sikhs. It's a stunning complex, and always full of thousands of pilgrims from all over India, excited to be at a place that they usually only see on television. The excitement to be here is infectious, and many people will be more than happy to tell you all about their religion and customs, and show you around the temple itself. Cover your head, remove your shoes and wander around one of the most amazing places in India. The complex is open almost 24 hours (from 6 AM until 2 AM) and is worth visiting twice: once during the day, once at night, when it's beautifully lit up.
Amrit Sarovar
The giant pool of water that surrounds and reflects the Golden Temple. Sections (marked off by ropes) are set aside for (male) pilgrims wishing to bathe.
Central Sikh Museum
Devoted to large gallery of paintings, mostly showing the gruesome ways countless Siks have been martyred, and various knick-knacks from the gurus.

All Sikhs are expected at some point in their lives to volunteer for a week at the temple, and everyone you see working here is fulfilling that duty. It's likely possible that you can join in if you feel so inclined - you could enquire by asking the people outside peeling vegetables, or those washing dishes.
Jallianwala Bagh (Garden)
Jallianwala Bagh Is a short 5-minute walk from the Golden Temple, and is the site of the 1919 Amritsar massacre. On April 13 of that year, British Indian Army soldiers opened fire on an unarmed gathering of men, women and children. The firing lasted about 10 minutes and 1650 rounds were fired, killing 1579 people. A memorial was built on the site and inaugurated by the then-President of India, Dr. Rajendra Prasad, on 13 April 1961. To this day the bullet holes can be seen on the walls and adjoining buildings. The well into which many people jumped and drowned attempting to save themselves from the hail of bullets is also a protected monument inside the park.
